By using this website (wisemindpath.org), you agree to these Terms of Service. If any part does not work for you, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to website use only. They do not govern the therapy services Anne provides. That relationship is established separately through an informed consent and clinical service agreement signed at the start of care.

This is a marketing and informational website for the therapy practice operated by Anne Scouten Licensed Clinical Social Worker, A Professional Corporation, doing business as Wise Mind Path Counseling Services. Anne is licensed in California (LCSW #80429) and provides telehealth therapy to adults located in California.

Content on this site, including articles, descriptions of therapeutic approaches, and answers to common questions, is general information about the practice and the kinds of work Anne does. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a substitute for working with a licensed professional who knows you and your situation.

Submitting the consultation request form does not create a therapist–client relationship. Anne reviews requests during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm Pacific) and reaches out to schedule a free consultation when there is a likely fit. A therapist–client relationship begins only once both parties have agreed to start care and signed an informed consent.

This site is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or in danger of harming yourself or someone else, do not use this form or wait for an email response. Call or text 988 (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), or call 911 in immediate danger.

Please do not share detailed health information through the consultation form, email, or phone messages. Those channels are for first contact only and are not designed as HIPAA-secure intake tools. Detailed clinical history is collected through the proper intake process once therapy begins.

How information you do submit is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

You agree to use this website only for its intended purpose: learning about the practice and contacting Anne about therapy.

You agree not to use the site to harass, defame, or impersonate any person; to submit malicious code, automated submissions, or scraping requests; to attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access; or to use any content from this site for the purpose of training machine-learning models without prior written permission.

All content on this site (copy, photographs where original, articles, design, and code) is owned by Anne Scouten Licensed Clinical Social Worker, A Professional Corporation, or used under license. You may share links to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. Other reuse requires written permission.

Stock images on the site are licensed from their respective providers (primarily Unsplash). The Wise Mind Path logomark and brand identity are reserved.

This site links out to a small number of third-party resources (crisis lines, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and similar). Those are external organizations with their own policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link does not imply endorsement of anything beyond the specific resource named.

The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While the practice tries to keep information accurate and the site available, we do not warrant that everything is perfectly current, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Nothing on this site constitutes medical, psychological, or legal advice. Reading an article, visiting a page, or sending a consultation request does not establish a clinical relationship.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for the practice's professional clinical conduct, which is governed by state licensing law and the Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this website's terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California.

When these terms are updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Your continued use of the site after changes go into effect means you accept the updated terms.
